Reader Response

The Premature burial is the story of a man who goes to tell various accounts of how being buried is alive is one of the most horrid experiences one could ever have. The man then goes to describe how he had an experience in which he was buried alive. The main character in this story is the narrator, who gives narratives of a man who became buries alive only to to somehow get out or attempt to get out. The theme here is obvious. The man talks of the misery experienced in such a situation, and counteract it with the hope he felt when in the actual situation. He repeatedly states how dark and imprisoning the experience felt as well as how hopeful he felt upon hearing the voice of the man who came by to the grave.

The Word that Defines me

Main Entry:
re·sil·ient
Pronunciation:
\-yənt\
Function:
adjective
Etymology:
Latin resilient-, resiliens, present participle of resilire to jump back, recoil, from re- + salire to leap — more at sally
Date:
1674
: characterized or marked by resilience: as a: capable of withstanding shock without permanent deformation or rupture b: tending to recover from or adjust easily to misfortune or change.

Resilience has been my biggest principle. I learned of the action early on in my youth, when forces beyond my control took my best friend away from me when I was nine. Death was something of an enigma, and on that day I learned just what a blow it can deliver. I look back at it now and I am thankful for what happened, as out of my childhood desparity came a mustard seed of determination. The bad always happens to the good, but what separates the good from the great is how one comes back after a knee dropping hit. To quote Rocky Balboa "Its not about how many hits you can take, its about how many hard hits you can take and still get up" Resilience is a word that many would use to define me, always filled with purpose and seeing every upset as a window to another oppurtunity.

Today in Governent

I was taking a stand against homosexuyality and Yelena rebuked me with something about how killing Jesus was done even though it was not right. So I had an epiphany about gays and Jesus's crucifixtion, and I told her, hey. why don't we crucify them and burn them. They could also be used as an alternate energy supply with all the heat that their bodies will generate enough heat to power homes. That's what the Romans did.

Today in Math

Today in Math I did absolutley no math. Instead I worked on a NB that I was supposed to have completed yesterday. I would've finished it yesterday but I fell asleep as I was cutting the papers. So today in Calculus instead of doing my Hw, I was frantically pasting an interactive NB together so that I could havce one for forensics. Then we took a quiz that I know I totally bombed. At this point in the class I'm just about ready to stop learning and more geared towards reviewing the learned material and getting ready for the AP test.
